IDI Expertise

IDI was conceived on the notion that a client's success lies in the early assessment of technology needs, as well as integration of desired technology outcomes into the design, construction, and coordination processes for both new and retrofitted spaces. This belief, coupled with a comprehensive communication style that meshes IT infrastructure and architectural design and construction, has evolved into the foundation of IDI's Plan...Build...Run approach.

Our experience as technology consultants for clients throughout the United States and across the globe allows us to bring a holistic perspective to the final, integrated design. Our team members represent technology design specialists, infrastructure design professionals, CAD production resources, and leadership with 16 years of experience in both the IT and design/construction industries.

Today, technology is a major driving force behind space allocation and planning, as well as infrastructure design, infrastructure capacity, technology migration, and business expansion strategies. In any setting, IDI leads the efforts to discover, communicate, and document each of these disparate and often conflicting elements. The end result is a multi-layered fault-tolerant solution, unique for each of our highly diverse clients.

What is Plan...Build...Run?

Plan...Build...Run is a common process within IT organizations. You must first design a solution, make it fit within the engineering guidelines of the organization, then establish an operational platform to maintain, support, and run the solution throughout the organization. IDI's innovative approach to this standard practice draws parallels between information technology and the design/construction industry: Architect the real estate asset and engineer the systems contained within based on the program data, yielding an environment capable of being operated to meet the goals of all entities.
